At The Handmade and Creative Market you can expect a range of fun and educational demonstrations from a range of expert craft guilds, local makers and charities. There will be opportunities to talk to our makers about their craft and find out about organisations you can join in order to start a new hobby or improve your skills.

The Beadworkers Guild will be coming to exhibit a range of beautiful work by their members. This year's challenge was Egyptian themed and some of these pieces will be on display alongside others. The guild will be taking applications for membership as well as running some free drop in sessions. See the 'Drop in Activities' page for more details.
Each year the guild hand a community project and this year the theme is Fantastic Florals, a challenge to create your own beaded flower. Read more about it by clicking here.

Throughout our Crafty Weekend Zoe Anthistle will be demonstrating the skills involved in cutting a lino tile ready for print. She will be able to talk you through the tools required and how to use them. This is a 'walk up and chat' demonstration so don't be shy. Zoe loves talking about her craft.

Yvonne Pratt textiles - Free embroidery
In addition to her textile art workshop Yvonne will be demonstrating the art of free embroidery in textile art using her sewing machine. Stop by Yvonne's stall for practical hints and tips or just to marvel at her skills. See the 'Workshops' page for details of how to book in for Yvonne's workshop.
When I first saw it I thought it was a photograph. Come and watch Teresa Seals at work throughout the day as she works on a pastel piece at her easel. Teresa will have work for sale as well as the opportunity to commission a piece of your own pet.

K8tie Sparkles - Jewellery customisation
Talented jewellery designer, K8tie Sparkles will be offering custom jewellery making at the Handmade and Creative Market. Lengths of bracelets and necklaces can be adjusted, rings are made to the perfect size in a choice of metal colours and you can also choose from a variety of different earring findings, even clip ons.

Fascinated by stop motion animation? Hayley, the face behind Stellabox designs is a designer and animator and throughout the weekend she will be sharing her set building and animating hints and tips with you.

Petal & Purl - Knitted exhibition
I'm sure many of you will have seen some of the extraordinary knitted masterpieces by Petal and Purl. Over the weekend they will be sharing a fabulous 'from the vault' life size display.
Can you guess which one?
Come and talk to Petal and Purl about their woolly masterpieces and the work they do for charity. They will have some fundraising cards for sale and would much appreciate your support.
One of a Kind Club create striking statement jewellery. Carol, designer and maker at One of a Kind Club has worked in advertising and design in London for almost 20 years and has now moved to Norwich to pursue her passion for jewellery design. This is the official launch event so please come along and show your support. Carol will be offering colour customisation and demonstrating her making process throughout the weekend.

Creative Ironwork - Basket Weaving
Creative Ironwork are a creative duo offering both ironwork and basket weaving to decorate your home. Over the course of the weekend you will be able to see a demonstration of full size basket weaving as well as having the opportunity to take part in an introductory course, pictured. Over the weekend we will be asking you, our guests, to become the creators. A number of free to join, community art and craft projects will be taking place across the weekend. These include creating a giant butterfly collage, making a massive origami bird mobile and winding a wonderful, fluffy pom pom or two to contribute to our 'Wild Garden' pom pom rug. There will also be a collaborative drawing table and a number of other activities to enjoy.

Last but by no means least we have our competition entry exhibition. We would love as many people as possible to get involved with our competitions and you can either take your piece home at the end of the day or donate it to the Hallswood Animal Sanctuary silent auction.
